Open New Covid-19 Testing Site in Richmond and Katy
Fort Bend County has universal COVID19 testing in all Four Precincts
WHAT: Press Conference about the opening Fort Bend County’s fourth and fifth COVID-19 testing sites in Richmond and Katy. The Richmond site is in the parking lot of the Gallery Furniture store. The Katy site is at Seven Lakes High School. These new sites mean the County has opened testing sites for residents in all five precincts of Fort Bend. The other three sites are in Rosenberg, Sugar Land and Missouri City. The expansion of testing in the County will help to better track the spread of the coronavirus as the state reopens for business. TEST SITE DETAILS: All the County sites have the same hours of operation and are free to residents. Details on all sites at this link. Like the others, the new Richmond and Katy testing sites require appointments. Fort Bend County residents can sign up online at this link or call (281) 238-2363 on weekdays 8 a.m to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. AccessHealth will be performing the tests and LabCorp will be providing the test kits as well as providing the test results. Testing is done without residents leaving their vehicles and the results are returned in three to five days. Each site has the capacity to do 200 tests per day.
