TO CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY CELEBRATING EASTER 

Fort Bend County, TX —  County Judge KP George taped and posted this video message today to those celebrating Easter in Fort Bend County.

“As the Christian community celebrates our holiest event, the crucifixion and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, this year the celebration will be very different.

Coronavirus and stay home order means no church. We feel sad and miss everyone. Watch service online, pray and be blessed. But it is not going to be the same.

Christ told us to love our neighbor. That is the core of the stay home order:  that it will save lives.

But Christianity is all about hope. This is not the end.

Through conquering death and resurrection, Jesus gives us eternal life. So let’s celebrate that message.

Pray for doctors and nurses. First responders. Keep them safe.

Pray for each of you to be safe and healthy. Pray to Almighty God to end this virus and find a cure soon.

I believe that Jesus has saved us and no earthly crisis can take away — His love and protection.

God bless each of you. The Lord is risen, indeed.
